What is Metaverse

What is Metaverse In the age of technology, virtual worlds have become a popular medium for entertainment and gaming. Nowadays so many people are not familiar with it. Today we are talking about the metaverse, which is an internet-based concept that provides a place where you can go to have fun and interact with others. As a result, today’s social media has become much more useful than ever before. The metaverse can be found in various places around the world, but most common places include online games, multiplayer video game services and websites, e-commerce sites and others. When we talk about the metaverse, we also discuss its definition and history, its features, how it will affect us in our everyday lives, what are its benefits like its risks, etc. Metaverse Definition The term “metaverse” was coined by Tim Ellis at Stanford University in 2015. This idea came from one of his classmates who wanted to develop virtual spaces on their campus. According to him, they would create virtual environments for students to explore and experiment with different types of ideas and scenarios. He described the project as “the ultimate way to help future generations learn through new learning tools and experiences, while providing rich exploration opportunities for students to be curious about potential futures”. So after doing some research, he came up with the first iteration called ‘BrainStation’. It allowed users to upload their brain and then share it for other users to make use of. As a result, he decided to name these virtual brains as ‘brains’ and created his own company named HeadSpace Industries, which operates under headspace.io. In 2014, The World Economic Forum introduced the term to describe this development as a ‘metaverse’. This year there were two conferences dedicated to this term: The Internet Society Conference presented its report on the subject and the UN General Assembly held a session on this topic. However, when I heard this term, I thought it is too vague, so I don’t know what does metaverse mean. But since there are so many definitions online of this word, I thought I better explain this concept. What Is A Virtual Brain? The virtual brain is a physical location where people can interact with each other and experiment with different kinds of ideas, situations and thoughts. More importantly, when you upload your brain into such an environment, all the user information is stored permanently in the cloud (or data center) of the platform. After a person uploads his or her brain, she starts playing different kinds of digital games, communicating with her friends and interacting with other users of the same platform. She can also control everything else in the real world by using mind control technologies and download content from the internet in the virtual world. Many researchers think that the real world becomes less real when we get to the virtual world. And this means it is getting smaller, cheaper and easier to reach at the end of one’s computer screen or mobile device. If we want to communicate with someone and see them, we need to pay the time and travel to their local area and buy a phone. But if you can do it without being physically present at a particular place, this will be possible to do anytime. For example, if you are in San Francisco and you want to visit another city, you don’t have to leave home if you have internet access and you can even send a message. Not only is the virtual world becoming cheaper and easier, but the possibility exists that one day, one may become a non-observant. This happens because we no longer have the ability to see things, we just observe them and try to react to them. Our brain stops working the same way. What Is The Connection Between VR & AI? The connection between virtual reality and artificial intelligence is often discussed by those who consider themselves experts in either field. Let me explain to you why and what makes human intelligence and virtual intelligence alike. By now, it should be clear to everyone that the relationship between our minds and feelings is not a direct relation, but rather the result of certain interactions in our everyday life. So, to understand how virtual and real intelligence are related it is necessary to look deeper into the inner mechanisms of the human brain. People always associate intelligence with knowledge and rationality, but it is more connected to emotions and intuition than to logic and reasoning. Even though we can see the difference among humans, it is still hard to call the interaction between two identical entities the kind of interaction that should be characterized as intelligence. Imagine that after the death of my grandfather, I feel no sadness, I don’t feel anger or sorrow. That is because I am not able to perceive these emotions and cannot distinguish between these two concepts. The Human Intelligence vs Artificial Intelligence When we speak about intelligence, we generally speak about our brains as machines, we think of the complex system of neural networks in the cerebral cortex. However, scientists think that intelligence can actually be perceived outside of the cerebral cortex. We cannot define intelligence in terms of the function of our brain – its structure and functions, it is a sort of subjective experience that is unrelated to any external stimulus. To prove this point we can think of children playing chess on their computers without having to be in a room with the whiteboard. Children perceive the visual input of the game and the number of moves per second, their memory and their reaction of the opponent. These things are simply visible signs of intellect. But it is possible to perceive the quality of attention that an adult gives to these child’s activity. In addition to that, the behavior and skills of the opponents are also important for understanding the character trait of a child. The main advantage of robots to our cognition, when compared to humans is that they think of objects and actions not as physical things, but as digital items or collections of information. Just like children, adults do not want to damage something in case they want to protect it from attacks. Adults want to save money on the maintenance and cleaning tasks, but children want to give joy and keep things, whether they are toys, candy or toys. They do not care about possessions, which are considered toys in the modern society. On the contrary, robots see the value of property and possessions at the expense of humans. When a robot plays a toy in front of a child, he gets angry and shouts at the owner of the toy. Later, the owners of the toy claim the robot is stealing something, which the latter is not. Such reactions are very unusual for humans. They only understand the world by feeling the outside world, but in case something goes wrong, they start thinking logically about things and analyzing situations and finding ways to fix things. Their response to the fact they have hurt someone or damaged something they are unable to control is also logical. Robots like Sophia are trained in this specific style of thinking. Her responses are not spontaneous, and she thinks about consequences and the actions to take within a set period. Another benefit is that she is able to listen and learn from others to improve her skill. Since she sees nothing except for herself, she can predict the outcome of her actions and know what can cause problems in case something bad happens. One of her best achievements is to defeat four players of Jeopardy, including Brad Rutter. During training, she listened to the questions and tried to answer what would happen next. She was asked a question about what would happen to the race after winning it. She answered, using the technique she had learned during training. This was the first time this kind of thinking was used by a machine. Sophia can recognize and respond to the sound of words without understanding what they say. In addition to that, she was able to identify people, their faces and their voices. Moreover, she also knows that when she wants to play the piano in the music studio she needs to sit down and wait until someone enters the room to show her what instruments do she have. There is a special keyboard that allows her the keyboard on the piano. This time the piano doesn’t exist, she can see the keyboard to teach herself what instrument she needs to hear. Then she can continue playing it, knowing that this piano belongs to another player. By asking her mom to accompany her playing the piano, she was able to learn all the pieces and even play them solo. At last, she taught herself that the piano is one of those rare things in this world, which cannot be lost or even taken away. The Importance Of Social Emotional Learning People who study the cognitive abilities for communication think that social emotional learning is the key mechanism behind speech acquisition and learning. But really the main thing here is the fact that we have many times forgotten how to interact socially and express our emotions correctly. Why we do it and how can we do it. How to learn to talk and behave appropriately with others and it is impossible to find out why we need to practice this skill. Some psychologists suggest that it may be because it helps the organism build trust, which prevents it from acting selfishly. Maybe we do it not intentionally, but perhaps it comes from the unconscious. There are many cases when we are unable to notice what we are doing and why is it happening. Therefore, we don’t realize what we are doing while we are trying to act socially. Instead of focusing on ourselves, we focus on our goals, on the situation and on how we want to react. And then, when we are faced with something difficult, we fail. So our goal is to act according to how we are told to act. And we do this without realizing it and without really thinking about it. Or maybe, we did just do it unconsciously without noticing it. Our subconscious mind works very quickly and quickly. All emotions of those around us are based upon our subconscious. No matter how we feel, it is very hard to change something in our subconscious. Also, when people face
